What is Neon
The patterns you can feel but can’t name.
Neon reads a conversation the way you sensed it but couldn’t prove it — the moment it tipped toward a decision, the point where your words got reframed, the thing that went unheld. It’s built for the rooms where the dynamics matter and rarely get named: with a doctor, a manager, a partner, an AI.
Why it exists
Most of what shapes a conversation isn’t in the words. It’s in who converges first, whose framing wins, what gets sequenced away, what no one stays with. These moves are usually invisible — and they tend to fall hardest on the people already least likely to be heard. Naming a pattern is the first step to no longer being moved by it without noticing.
Why it’s called Neon
Neon is a noble gas. It’s inert — it doesn’t react, doesn’t bond, doesn’t change what it touches. It’s also already there: colorless and invisible in the air around you. You only see it when you run a current through a sealed tube of it — the energy lifts its electrons to a higher state, and as they fall back they release that energy as light. The glow isn’t added; the color is intrinsic to the element. You’re seeing what neon already is.
That’s the whole idea. The dynamics in a conversation are already there — inert, invisible, ordinary. This tool is the current, not the content: it doesn’t take a side or add a verdict, it energizes what was already present so it emits its own light. You see what was always in the room, in its own colors.
Three ways in
Bring a conversation you were in — paste it, describe it in your own words, or record it — and see what was really moving underneath. Bring one you’re walking into, and Neon forecasts what you’ll likely meet, then plays your counterpart so you can rehearse. Or bring something you’re reading — a song, an ad, an article — to see what it quietly makes normal.
What it does with your words
Your text is read for the analysis and nothing else — it isn’t used to train anything. Sign in and your readings are kept in a private history only you can see; stay signed out and nothing is stored. Neon also audits its own output for the same patterns it looks for in yours, and tells you when a reading is uncertain rather than pretending otherwise.
Notice more. Carry less.
